Individual Jump Ropes are the best tools for all around exercise. SMES students begin jump-roping in Kindergarten. Long Jump Rope-Double Dutch & Rhymes requires coordination, concentration, and cooperation!
Jumping Jacks for Heart Power! K-5, we all master jumping jacks, count'em out loud, in time like a team, Jumping Jacks help our self-esteem!
4 WAY TUG-OF-WAR- Dig in and pull with all your might! This SMES PE activity helps students realize their muscle potential and the power of Teamwork. Strenghting of muscles is an important activity for SMES PE students. When children stress their muscles, they also strenghten their growing tendons, cartilage, and bones. Push-Ups, Pull-Ups, Curl-Ups, Mat stacking and racing, and wall pushing are other SMES muscle strengthening activities.
SMES students always get a cardio-vascular workout at PE! And with help from the American Heart Association (literature and teaching tools) SMES students understand that diet and exercise is the number one way to prevent heart disease.
