Information
Head Lice
Head lice are tiny insects (about the size of a sesame seed) that are difficult to see. They cannot jump or fly, but crawl very quickly. The lice lay eggs (or "nits") on the hair shaft. The nits are tiny and may resemble dandruff, but are cemented to the hair shaft and will not flake off like dandruff. The lice and nits may vary in color from clear to white to black.
